All Successful People Have One Thing In Common.

You are probabaly wondering what it is that successful people have in common - its failure.
Very few successful individuals can say that they were on a straight trajectory to the penthouse of profits on their first attempt at reaching their goals. Henry Ford went bankrupt three times before getting it right with the Model T.
I have failed at so many things so many times yet I have found success in the rubble. We fail.... to succeed. We learn more from our failures than our successes. The only time you truly fail is when you fail to try again.
Don't let your failures define you. Take the learnings from the set back and continue to press forward.
The question of whether students in the school system should be allowed to fail should really be positioned as should they be allowed to fail to succeed.

Math Isn't For Everyone.

Over the Labour Day Weekend The Toronto Star ran a piece about today's post secondary students failing for droping their 1st year math course at a 50% rate.
Some may be shocked by the statistic but to me it reinforces that math isn't for everyone. Arithmatic is for everyone but the higher order math disciplines such as algebra, trigonometry, and calcus should be studied by the 50% of students who can make use of the skill.
I am not against math education and recognize that math is migrating into more and more fields in business. There are and will be those who chose higher order math as part of their education and I am sure will be rewarded for their effort.
But what is the point of subjecting 50% of the student population who have no interest or aptitude in math to take a course? Could it ...
