Lorraine Sommerfeld from the National Post’s Driving section, suggests North American drivers should be limited to one hundred horn uses in their lifetime.
Sommerfeld writes, “we all know what’s supposed to happen when we set out, and that horn you have should be used if somebody is in imminent danger.Someone backing out blindly and doesn’t see you? Tap the horn. Somebody neglected to check a blind spot and is heading into your car? Tap the horn”.
Honk wisely, friends.
When is it appropriate to use the horn? Do you lay on the horn often?
