UberEATS cut their delivery worker’s compensation rates overnight – and their drivers are ticked, to say the least.
Originally, UberEATS workers were paid $1.85 per kilometre and a $6.50 flat rate per order. Now, the delivery rate has dropped to $1.05 per kilometre, $2.90 per pick-up and $2.50 per drop-off.
Drivers gathered outside the Uber office Tuesday to protest the changes to the compensation structure.
Sean O’Shea, consumer and investigative reporter for Global News, joined the Morning Show to discuss what he heard from UberEATS delivery people at yesterday`s protest.
