Drunk driving sadly remains in the headlines. And with the holidays coming up, it’s back on everyone’s radar. But Kensington, P.E.I. police have thought of a new way to fight it: they warn drunk drivers that, along with the usual punishments, they will also be trap the criminals in a police cruiser playing Nickelback. But is it making too much light in a very serious issue?
Constable Robb Hartlen of the Kensington Police Department is the author of the Facebook post that announced the “bonus gift” to drunk drivers, and he joined the show to tell us more. MADD Canada’s Carolyn Swinson then responded to it.
