The Ontario Provincial Police have charged a 36-year-old man with impaired driving in connection to a fatal crash in Caledon.
Police say that the accident occurred on Highway 10 between Beechgrove Sideroad and Highpoint Sideroad around 2 p.m. Saturday.
According to investigators, he was driving a grey Dodge van that was travelling southbound on Highway 10 and his vehicle then somehow managed to go into the northbound lanes crashing head-on with a red KIA.
The victim of the crash is a 56-year-old man from Orangeville who was pronounced dead at the scene while the 36-year-old man driving the Dodge suffered minor injuries.
He has now been identified by the OPP as David Courneya of Orangeville.
Courneya was scheduled to appear in a Brampton courtroom on Sunday morning.
