Voters in some areas of the province are headed to the polls on Thursday in a pair of byelections.
Longtime Liberal MPP Madeleine Meilleur resigned from her position in Ottawa-Vanier, back in the summer, just ahead of a cabinet shuffle.
Liberal Nathalie Des Rosiers and PC Andre Marin, the former provincial ombudsman, are both vying for the position.
The other byelection is being held in the riding of Niagara West-Glanbrook, which has been held by the Tories for over 20 years.
Tim Hudak recently vacated the position, and took a job as CEO of the Ontario Real Estate Association.
If the PC candidate, 19-year-old Sam Oosterhoff, wins, he would become the youngest MPP ever in Ontario.
He’s up against Liberal candidate Vicky Ringuette, and Mike Thomas of the NDP.
