Police are searching for a suspect wanted in connection with the sexual assault of a sex trade worker at knife-point in downtown Toronto.
Toronto police responded to a report of a sexual assault in the Wellesley Street East and Sherbourne Street area around 2 a.m. on Tuesday.
Police said a man met the 30-year-old woman in the area and the two walked to a parking lot where he allegedly took out a knife and forced her into a nearby alleyway where she was sexually assaulted. The woman was then able to escape and call police.
The suspect is described by police as a black male, between 5’7″ and 5’8″ tall with a slim build and bad teeth. He was wearing a navy-blue hoodie and blue baseball cap at the time.
