A 25-year-old man is facing animal cruelty charges after he allegedly threw a two-year-old Beagle off a seventh-floor apartment balcony on Monday.
Toronto police said they responded to the scene around noon at a building on Firvalley Court near Warden Avenue and St. Clair Avenue.
Police said the dog was located by witnesses alive but with serious injuries. He died after officers arrived on scene.
Adrian Foster has been charged with kill/maim/wounding dog and willfully causing unnecessary suffering to an animal.
After a court appearance on Tuesday, Foster was held in custody for another appearance Wednesday.
