On a day when Toronto police announced their “Step Up and Be Safe” road safety campaign geared for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists, a pedestrian was seriously hurt near Yorkville.
The male in his 20’s was one of three injured in a three vehicle crash near Avenue Road and Roxborough Street, just west of Yonge Street.
Toronto police say they were called out to the scene around 9:30 A.M., upon arrival they observed at a crash involving at a motorcycle and two vehicles with one of the vehicles striking a building.
The pedestrian hit was rushed to hospital with serious injuries, while two others from one of the vehicles were also sent to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
