A new provincial pedestrian safety campaign will launch Tuesday, with the focus on making city streets safer for all who use them.
Be Alert, Be Seen encourages pedestrians to remain visible, and stay focused.
Last year, over 60 people were killed on city streets.
The campaign, which kicks off at TPS headquarters, is a joint effort involving the Ontario Ministry of Transportation, Canadian Automobile Association, provincial trauma centres, police and other road safety partners.
Reflective stickers, toques and scarves will be handed out to those in attendance for the launch.
