A Peel Regional Police officer has been charged with breaching the conditions of his recognizance.
A media release Friday states Constable Douglas Poirier was arrested after engaging in a verbal argument with a woman in a Brampton parking lot on Thursday.
Poirier is currently suspended from a previous incident where he was charged with one count of assault as a result of a domestic-related occurrence. His recognizance of bail conditions included having no contact with the victim.
The officer remains on suspension and has been transported to court for a bail hearing.
