Toronto police issued a public safety alert Thursday evening after reports of multiple collisions in the wet weather.
Officers reported five collisions during a half hour span at 7pm, four of which involved pedestrians.
Around 7:30pm, a 63-year old woman was without vital signs after being struck by a vehicle at Eglinton Ave. and Hanna Rd.
It was later confirmed the woman had died.

Toronto police urged people to be careful on their commutes home after issuing a public safety alert via Twitter.
Thursday’s evening collisions mirrored that of a nasty morning commute after 10 pedestrians were struck by noon.
It has been a rainy day and we've had many calls for collisions with many people hurt. Be careful going home.
