Toronto police now have their man involved in an alleged bus assault investigation in Scarborough.
On Sunday, 27 year old Stephen Simpson of Toronto, surrendered to investigators at 43 division and was subsequently charged with three counts of assault and mischief under $5000.
Simpson was the prime suspect in the alleged assault that took place in late September on a TTC bus near Eglinton Avenue East and the Markham Road area.
Witnesses say Simpson became angry with a 36 year old woman who had shut a window in front of where she was seated. In his anger, the suspect approached twice and spat in her face each time, before approaching for a third time and assaulting her.
Simpson will appear in an Eglinton Avenue court on Friday, December 2nd.
