The Toronto Transit Commission says it has taken action against a bus driver after a video surfaced online showing him driving with his leg on the dashboard while eating chips.
“The rules are clear about eating and drinking while in motion — you can’t,” says spokesman Brad Ross. “You can have a snack at a red light, for example, or a terminal station — but not when the vehicle is in motion.”
The TTC will not elaborate on what action was taken due to privacy concerns, but said the driver is not a new employee and has been with the company with some time. He will continue to be an employee with the company.
Should he still have a job? Do riders/taxpayers have a right to know what discipline was enacted?
