Toronto police say a man found dead in Scarborough on Sunday afternoon has now been identified.
According to police the body was found by a passerby next to a creek at the base of the bridge on Invergordon Avenue, near Tineta Crescent at around 12.50.p.m.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene and the man, who was no carrying any identification was pronounced dead at the scene
An appeal was made for help in identifying the man on Tuesday afternoon and by Tuesday evening he had been identified.
Police say that they are not treating the death as suspicious and have thanked the public for their assistance.
