With the 20 year anniversary of JonBenét Ramsey’s death, CBS released a documentary digging up the cold case once again. This doc however, is a “false and unprofessional television attack” full of “lies, misrepresentations, distortions, and omissions,” according to the family.
The panel of “experts” have come to the conclusion that Ramsey’s brother, Burke, had committed the crime.
Rolling Stone calls it “a witch hunt” and “cruel ratings ploy”; in its view the evidence was “almost entirely subjective, at times dangerously misleading and dependent on a flawed police investigation.”
Was this entertaining, informative television? Or a dangerous precedent we are seeing with TV shows?
