Whether you have a design background or not, Toronto Public Health could use your help.
The office has put out the call and asked for input designing a new condom wrapper for condomTO 2017.
For the last three years, the campaigns have showcased condom wrapper designs to coincide with events the city hosts.
In August, Toronto Public Health launched the latest condom wrapper, which features the 3-D Toronto sign which sits at Nathan Phillips Square. It has become an international symbol of Toronto since the 2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games, and has served as a background in thousands of pictures!
This year’s condom was designed to demonstrate civic pride, but Public Health is turning next year’s design over to the public.
“The positive reaction we’ve seen to our three campaigns to date has shown us that the people of Toronto are engaged in the topic of safer sex and reducing the risk of sexually transmitted infections and unplanned pregnancies. The condomTO contest will help us build on that success and high level of engagement, especially among young people in our city, as they experience high rates of sexually transmitted infections.” – Dr. Barbara Yaffe, Toronto’s Acting Medical Officer of Health. ”
