Toronto Police have decided to move ahead with charges in an alleged assault on a parking enforcement officer in North York.
The incident took place on Thursday (September 8th, 2016) in the Forest Laneway and Doris Avenue area around midnight.
The officer was in the middle of writing a ticket for a van that was blocking a disabled ramp and fire route, when the van owner began a verbal confrontation.
Eventually, 40-year-old Jeffrey Wingrowich began assaulting the parking officer.
Wingrowich’s scheduled court appearance will be in October. He’s facing one charge of assault.
