Toronto police have provided an an update on the investigation into the fatal hit-and-run of Steven Doyle, 27, who was struck by a minivan on Mondayl.
Doyle was struck by a blue Dodge Caravan travelling at a high rate of speed near Gerrard Street East and Jarvis Street just before 6 pm.
Police say the driver of the van intentionally drove onto the sidewalk and struck Doyle after an altercation.
They located the van later in the evening after it had been abandoned and police have now released video surveillance footage of the van used in the hit and run.
The video shows the suspect exiting the van then he takes off his jacket and uses it to wipe down the inside of the van of any fingerprints.
The driver is described as having brown skin with a light complexion, standing between five feet eight inches and five feet 10 inches tall with a slim to medium build and dark brown shoulder-length hair in ponytail.
At the time of the murder he was wearing a dark shirt and prescription glasses with rectangular frames.
