GDC Europe is the largest professionals-only game industry event that will be held in the heart of Europe: Cologne, Germany on August 15th and 16th, 2016 in conjunction with Gamescom. GDC Europe focuses on networking, strategies, emerging ideas and learning amongst developers. The event includes an expo, award ceremonies, lectures, tutorials, round tables and other miscellaneous networking events.
The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the biggest annual gathering of professional video game developers. Originally named “Computer Game Developers Conference”, the first conference was created in April 1988 by Chris Crawford and later broadened into The Game Developers Conference (GDC) in 1999. At that time, a mere twenty-seven developers attended. Yet the second annual conference saw a total of one hundred and twenty-five developers in attendance, a number which has continued to grow immensely as years have progressed. The first official GDC Europe was featured at the European Computer Trade Show in London on August 31st and September 1st, 2001.
If you’re an industry official on a major or minor scale, discover why GDC Europe could be the right opportunity for you.
