A weather advisory is in effect for the GTA and most of Southern Ontario with the possibility of funnel clouds forming and land-spout tornadoes taking place on Monday evening.
Environment Canada has issued the advisory and states that there will be wind strong enough that could be formed intense enough to topple trees and cause structural damage.
The agency says that you should seek shelter if you see funnel clouds taking shape in your area.
Weather conditions this evening will be favourable for the development of funnel clouds generating weak rotation under rapidly growing clouds or weak thunderstorms.
Weak rotation is normally not a danger near the ground.
