The buzz in the Philadelphia has started, traffic is slower, and the city is definitely feeling the tension. Protesters are demonstrating with a little bit more anger and a little bit more passion than before.
Tasha speaks with Tim Mak, Senior Correspondent for the Daily Beast reporting live from Philadelphia about some of the highlights that could unravel in the next few days.
Wikileak documents s reveal attempt by the Democratic National Convention to prevent Bernie Sanders from winning the nomination which led to the resignation of the Democratic chairwoman, Debbie Wasserman Schultz over the leaked email. Many demonstrators are angered over the new allegations stating that donors were potentially promised positons as a result of the attempt of blocking Sanders.
The ongoing theme that Bernie Sanders and Trump talked about system rigged, electoral system is rigged, financial system is rigged – in favour with people of power people against people that don’t have power are demonstrating against Clinton and in favour of Bernie Sanders. Demonstrators continue their support for Sanders chanting, “We are the 99 Percent!”
Tensions are rising with many demonstrators in the city that’s lead to more militant presence than in Cleveland.
A sense of corruption is lingering due to new revelations leaked by Russian hackers on Wikileaks, list published of people under Boards and Commissions spreadsheet. Tasha asks the one question on everyone’s minds,
