Voters will be heading to the polls in Ward 2 on Monday for a by-election that will find a replacement for the seat that was formerly held by the late Rob Ford.
The councillor and former mayor passed away after his battle with cancer back in March and now his nephew Michael Ford is looking to take his place.
The 22-year-old has served as a Toronto District School Board trustee for Ward 1 in Etobicoke North since 2014 and he resigned back on May 6th this year to run in this by-election for Toronto City Council Ward 2.
There are 11 other candidates running for the vacant spot in council, including Chloe Marie Brown, Jeff Canning and Christopher Strain.
The seat has been held by the Ford family since 2000 with Rob and then his brother Doug Ford taking over when he became the mayor in 2010.
Voting will take place from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at multiple locations around Ward 2.
