A man wanted in connection with a string of violent home invasions in Peel region has handed himself over to police.
Rashid Ahmad presented himself to police on Monday.
The 25 year old Windsor man has now been charged with robbery, using an imitation firearm while committing an offence and disguise with intent.
A warrant for Ahmed’s arrest had been issued last week when police held a press conference to provide an update on the investigation dubbed ‘Project Blue Rock.’
The home invasions took place over a 15 month period between October 2014 and December 2015.
The robberies have been described by police as ”vicious and cowardly” and that ”in some cases, the accused parties used hand guns, duct tape, zip ties and a taser to assault the victims, which included elderly people and children.”
Two people had previously been arrested in connection with the investigation.
