Over the span of just two days this week, Nottawasaga OPP have laid 40 charges on motorists flying through a construction zone on County Road 50, just outside of Loretto (West of Newmarket).
A driver was hit with four demerit points and a $578 fine after moving at 90 km/h in the 60 km/h zone on Wednesday.
Police report similar issues in other towns in the area West of Lake Simcoe.
The OPP would like to remind you that speeding fines are DOUBLED in construction zones.
