Texting has replaced traditional communication in so many areas, and it’s now taking over in emergencies. 911 texting became the law in the U.S. in 2014, requiring all phone networks to facilitate 911 texting (including videos and pictures). Major cities in the States are on board.
911 texting has many advantages, and has helped in emergency situations in the U.S., like one woman taken hostage who was saved and a deaf woman texting to save 2 children in an emergency.
