Advocates are up in arms following the CNE’s decision to end free admission for people with disabilities.
Representatives for the CNE say the change in policy will respect “the dignity and independence of all of our guests, including those with disabilities.” Advocates say this will do anything but– especially since many people with disabilities are unemployed and need any kind of support they can get.
Flyers were handed out at last year’s CNE to warn people about the policy change. Attendants of people with disabilities will still get free admission to this year’s fair, running from August 19 – September 5.
Do you think this was a smart move by the CNE?
