Pride weekend is in full swing with a number of events Saturday and Sunday.
The 21st Pride and Remembrance Run starts at 10:00a.m. Saturday morning. It’s a 5k run or 3k walk which starts and finishes at Church and Wellesley Streets.
The 2016 edition of the Dyke March starts at 2:00 p.m. and goes rain or shine. Members of Black Lives Matter Toronto Coalition will lead the journey. The march will travel down Yonge to Carlton Street, and onto Allan Gardens.
Meanwhile, the 36th Pride Parade goes Sunday at 2:00 p.m. with over 200 organizations represented along the route and over 10,000 expected to take in the festivities. It starts at Yonge and Bloor and ends at Yonge-Dundas Square.
Also on Sunday, “The Final Play” will feature a lineup of artists and bands at Yonge and Dundas Square with Joe Jonus (Jonus Brothers) and his band DNCE as the headliner.
That event gets underway at 2:00 p.m.
