Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto will be meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau at Casa Loma on Monday night.
Trudeau says he sees this as an opportunity to renew ties between two of North America’s free trade partners.
The visit will be followed by both leaders making their way to Ottawa for the Three Amigos Summit with U.S. President Obama on Wednesday.
The focus is expected to be on climate change and the benefits of free trade between the three countries.
The United States, Canada and Mexico combine for a population of 530 million in North America and their economies complete one quarter of the world’s GDP.
