Some of the fans attending a Meat Loaf concert in Edmonton last night said they thought it was just part of the show.
But it turns out the singer’s collapse was very real.
The 68 year old was in the middle of his classic “I’d Do Anything For Love” when he dropped the microphone, and then fell to the floor.
He was rushed to hospital but his current condition is not known.
Meat Loaf, born Marvin Lee Aday, has collapsed on stage before, and has indicated in the past he suffers from asthma and a condition which causes an irregular heartbeat.
He had also cancelled shows in Regina and Saskatchewan earlier this week, citing ill health.
