Not happy with new crop of post-secondary graduates entering the Canadian workforce?
You’re not alone.
According to the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB), 73% of employers say that the work ethic of new hires has deteriorated in recent years.
CFIB CEO Dan Kelly told the Toronto Sun here that younger workers aren’t showing up to work on time, taking days off because they don’t want to work full weeks, and will even take mornings off because of a concert running late the night before.
Who do we blame for this growing problem? Helicopter parents? Lack of real-world preparation while in a post-secondary institute?
