Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is taking some personal time Wednesday during his 5-day Japanese tour to spend time with his wife.
The PM is celebrating the 11th anniversary of his marriage to Sophie Gregoire Trudeau.
Trudeau told reporters in Tokyo that “this is the kind of work-life balance that I’ve often talked about as being essential in order to be able to be in service of the country with all one’s very best, and that’s certainly something I’m going to continue to make sure we do.”
Of course, social media is questioning the PM’s decision to take a break during an important visit. Reporters have asked about the expenses that taxpayers will be expected to cover during this day off.
