We may be gearing up for the first “unofficial” long weekend of summer, but police are gearing up to pay extra close attention to how you’re driving over the next several days.
Officers across the Province will not only be patrolling the highways, but waterways and trails as well, looking for high risk behaviors.
They’ll be focused on what they call the Big 4: distracted drivers, aggressive drivers, impaired drivers and those not wearing their seat belts.
They will also be making sure all loads are secured properly.
Officers will also be paying special attention to those who operate their vehicles without personal safety equipment where applicable, such as helmets, seat belts and like jackets.
