Seven people including three teenage boys have been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in the city in March.
According to police, a 13 year old boy was robbed of his cell phone on March 15th, later that day the boy and a group of six other people drove to the Weston Road and Lawrence Avenue West area in search of the people who robbed him.
They located a group of males in that area and approached them, with a fight breaking out soon after.
During the fight, one of the men in the group which had traveled to the scene produced an gun and shot an 18 year old man, inflicting non life threatening injuries.
An investigation was launched and on May 10th, Toronto police executed three search warrants at three homes, two in Toronto and one in Brampton.
At one of the Toronto addresses, a 48-year-old man, a 58-year-old woman, a 37-year-old woman, a 13-year-old boy and a 16-year-old boy were arrested, and now face charges of conspiracy to commit an indictable offence and unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle.
A 17 year old boy was arrested at the second Toronto address and charged with conspiracy to commit an indictable offence, unauthorized possession of a firearm in a motor vehicle, and failing to comply with probation.
While a 24 year old man was arrested in Brampton and now face nine charges including pointing a firearm, and discharging a firearm.
The identities of the adults have been withheld to protect the identities of the boys, who cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
