A 60-year-old woman accused of stabbing a 67-year-old concierge in her Rosedale condo has been released on bail and ordered to undergo a psychological and medical assessment.
Ellis Kirkland was arrested back on Thursday, March 10th and has been in custody since the incident occurred. She was instructed to immediately receive a fitness assessment that deemed her fit enough to stand trial by a judge.
Her $120,000 bail is on condition that she immediately goes to Mt. Sinai Hospital for the medical and psychological treatment ordered by her doctor.
Kirkland is not allowed to go back to her Rosedale condo after allegedly stabbing Markandu Kulasingan at the front desk in the lobby.
She is set to appear in court on Monday, May 30th.
