Former First Lady and wife of former U.S President Ronald Reagan, Nancy Reagan has passed away.
According to Reagan Library Representative Allison Borio, Reagan died of congestive heart failure earlier today in her Bel-Air home.
Reagan first started out like her husband on the Hollywood silver screen before taking on the role as First Lady of California in 1967.
Trading the golden coast for the White House, the Reagan’s took the presidential office on January 20th 1981 and remained at the helm of American democracy until the conclusion of Reagan’s second term in 1989.
Championing many awareness groups and campaigns, the First Lady will be remembered for pioneering the “Just Say No” anti drug campaign as well as standing by her husband during his near 10 year battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was 94 years old.
