A video that surfaced on Wednesday shows a rock climbing instructor from Surrey, B.C. texting while a 4-year-old girl was stuck on the wall and crying. The video was taken by the child’s mother.
The video got thousands of views on Facebook and the 19-year-old employee has since been fired from Funtopia Surrey for violating several of the gymnasium’s policies, one of them being that cellphones are prohibited outside of the staff room.
This brings us back to the ongoing debate: do cellphones have a place in the workplace?
