York police say three more drivers have been charged with alcohol-related criminal driving offences overnight.
The first happened around 11 p.m. last night near Elgin Mills Road and Shirley Drive in Richmond Hill. POlice say a Lincoln SUV side-swiped another car and kept driving. Officers located the SUV a short time later on Leslie Street near Highway 7 East.
The vehicle didn’t stop when police tried to stop it but police eventually blocked the car in.
The female driver was taken to the station and given a breath test which she failed. 42 year old Alana Burstein, of Toronto, is charged with impaired driving, over 80, and fail to stop at the scene of an accident.
Then around 12:30 a.m. police pulled over a pick-up truck in the area of Doughton Road and Maplecrete Road in Vaughan. The driver was given a roadside test which he failed.
21 year old Domenico Palombo, of Vaughan, is charged with over 80.
About an hour later police spotted a vehicle speeding 35 Kilometres per hour over the speed limit on Keele Street in the area of Drummond Drive in Vaughan. As officers attempted to stop the van they watched as it swerved in and out of lanes.
The driver was given a roadside test which he failed. 35 year old Dani Mishayev, of Toronto, is charged with over 80.
