Car manufacturer Volvo is planning to unveil keyless cars by 2017. A phone app would replace the car key, which will allow you to lock car doors, start and stop the engine, and even share the key with a friend or downloading it if you’re renting. Volvo explains that additional security measures would be used inside the car.
Volvo will be performing trials and if all goes well the app will be launched next year. They will also continue to offer regular keys.
Can things go wrong? Would you go keyless?
