Even though things are cooling down outside, some of the NBA’s best were keeping it red hot on the court last night.
The NBA All Star weekend got into full swing with the Celebrity All Star Game and the Rising Stars Challenge.
With Team Canada being led by Drake and Team USA being ran by superstar comedian Kevin Hart, both teams both teams set out to bring the prestigious title home for their respective nations.
With impressive performances from the likes of Canadian Tennis star Milos Raonic and former Raptors star Tracy McGrady, Team Canada was able to walk away with the 74-64 victory.
MVP honours for the night went to Arcade Fire’s frontman Win Butler who put on a show posting a slick double double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.
Shifting to the always entertaining NBA All Stars Rising Stars Challenge, it was Thornhill’s own Andrew Wiggins that stole the show for the hometown crowd.
Wiggins showed off his power moves and sweet shooting touch posting 29 points on 13 of 15 shooting.
It wasn’t enough however as last year’s NBA Slam Dunk winner Zack LaVine scored a game high 30 points and lifted Team USA to a 157-154 win over Team World.
LaVine also took home the MVP Trophy.
