Super Bowl Sundays can be summarized by 4 things; the game, the half time show, devouring chicken wings and the commercials….US commercials!
Every year the US commercials are replaced locally with Canadian commercials and we all scramble to watch the American commercials online. Next year this ritual will be none existent as the CRTC ruled Bell will no longer have to simultaneous substitution or “simsub” with Canadian commercials starting in 2017.
Is this a good idea or should companies such as Canadian Tire and Tim Horton’s, which employs thousands of Canadians still be the game allowed to play on game day?
