Charges against a woman accused in a fatal stabbing at a downtown Shoppers Drug Mart have been upgraded.
Rohinie Bisesar was initially charged with second-degree murder in connection with the December 11th attack in the underground PATH system near Bay and Wellington streets, that left 28 year old Rosemarie ‘Kim’ Junor dead.
Those charges have now been upgraded to first degree murder.
Police had initially said that the attack was unprovoked and that the suspect and the victim were not known to each other, but the change to the charge has now brought this into question.
It is not yet known what let to the charge being upgraded.
40 year old Bisesar who has been in custody since her arrest shortly after the stabbing, was scheduled to appear in court at 2 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon.
