The US Federal Trade Commission is suing DeVry University for misleading students about potential job success after graduating.
In its complaint, the FTC says the for-profit college deceived its students by claiming that 90 percent of its students found work in their field six months after graduation. DeVry also claimed its graduates had an income 15 percent higher one year after graduation than other schools. DeVry says it will vigorously defend itself, and the complaints are “without a legal basis.”The Illinois-based college has 55 campuses across the USA and offers online and on-campus programs.
