Three men and a teenage boy have been arrested in connection with two home invasions carried out at the same address in Scarborough
According to Toronto police, the suspects robbed a man at his home in the Ellesmere Road and Markham road area at around 3.40.a.m on November 30th last.
Then, exactly one week later on Monday, December 7, the same group robbed the man in his home once again.
The homeowner was assaulted on both occasions and had personal property taken.
Following an appeal for public assistance, four people were arrested in connection with the investigation.
Nitharshan Elansoorriyanathan, 25, of Toronto, Mithun Ratnakumar, 19, of Mississauga and Thapisan Navaneethan, 19, of Markham, have each been charged with two counts of robbery with a weapon, two counts of disguise with intent, two counts of forcible confinement, break-and-enter, theft under $5,000, mischief under $5,000 and possession of property obtained by crime.
Mithun Ratnakumar and Thapisan Navaneethan are additionally each charged with failure to comply – undertaking.
The 17 year old from Mississauga, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act is facing a charge of possession of property obtained by crime.
