Disgraced former junior hockey coach Graham James, has been granted day parole.
James who sexually abused players, appeared in front of the National Parole Board at a federal prison in Montreal seeking full parole but was denied.
The board agreed the decision would be premature and that James would have to show more empathy.
However, he was given the day parole with multiple conditions, including a ban on contacting anyone under 18, as well as any direct or indirect contact with his victims.
James is currently serving a seven-year sentence for sexually assaulting players he coached in the late 1980s and early 1990s of the Swift Current Broncos.
One of the players assaulted by James is Sheldon Kennedy.
Kennedy joins us now and reacts to James getting day parole.
