Do you support Mohawk College’s decision to ban this pro-Sharia law lecture?
Mazin Abdul-Adhim held a lecture entitled “The Truth Behind the Syrian Refugee Crisis” in one of the school’s residences on November 28. He represented Hizb ut-Tahrir, an organization that promotes the unification of all Muslim countries.
The lecture’s organizers told Mohawk’s director of communications Jay Robb that they would be examining the refugee crisis.
Instead, the 40-minute lecture led by Abdul-Adhim focused on the need to form a government that unifies all Muslim countries, the fact that the conflict in the Middle East is an attempt to stop Muslims from doing so, and that sharia law is “the best system that exists on Earth”
He believes that it’s a system that eliminates racism and promotes economic justice. He also describes the military power that a Muslim caliphate would have.
Should individuals like Abdul-Adhim be silenced? Aren’t we better off knowing what people living in Canada are thinking, even if we disagree with their views and opinion?
