A fire and explosion late Monday night sent one firefighter to hospital with burns, and left a pair of others with minor facial burns.
It sparked up just before 11:00 p.m. in a second floor sauna at 57 Charles Street, west of Bay Street.
The explosion is being attributed to an influx of oxygen, but the actual cause of the fire has not been determined.
“It was a huge blast. Incredible force.” – Toronto District Fire Chief James Green.
