Sgt. Robert Giblin’s was buried in Bancroft Community Church in Sudbury. It was a sombre and quiet ceremony and members of Sudbury’s 33 Canadian Brigade Group of the Irish Regiment were pallbearers. The bodies of newlyweds Giblin and his wife, Precious Charbonneau, were found outside their apartment last week. Police ruled Charbonneau’s death a homicide after stab wounds were found on her body. Robert Giblin, 43, had served in the military for 18 years and suffered from PTSD.
