Peel Regional Police have arrested a 27-year-old woman in connection to the death of a toddler in Mississauga.
According to investigators, Russom Tesfamar Yordanos has been charged with first degree murder for the death of her 2-year-old son, Surfeal Okubazgi.
The boy’s body was found with obvious signs of trauma at an apartment on Sherobee Drive near Hurontario Street and the Q.E.W. around 2:45 p.m. Monday.
Paramedics confirmed the toddler suffered from at least one stab wound.
Yordanos appeared in court on Wednesday. She’s been charged with first-degree murder with her case has being put off until January 6th.
