A mix-up over hospitals may have contributed to the death of a man who was shot in Toronto early Monday morning.
Shortly after a shooting before 5am Monday morning in Rexdale (Finch and the 427), a woman suffering a leg wound drove a man suffering multiple gunshot wounds to the hospital.
Unfortunately, she drove the bullet riddled car to Humber River Hospital, which is closed and shuttered.
Paramedics were called to their location at 5:30am, and transported the pair to the new Humber River Hospital on Wilson Avenue.
Toronto police confirm that the man was pronounced dead in hospital.
“This appears to be something that was not random but certainly something that worries us all,” said Supt. Ron Taverner.
